History fashion brand Diesel

The company started when Renzo Rosso, with the financial support of his father, took over 40 percent of the Italian textile company Moltex from Adriano Goldschmied in 1978. Rosso named the company Diesel and in the same year he launched his first men's collection with a focus on denim. In 1989, the brand launched its first women's collection and this year the company achieved an annual turnover of $130 million. The youthful 55DSL collection was founded in 1994, but was integrated into the main collection in 2015. A children's collection offers even the youngest the ultimate vibe. Today, the brand is represented in more than 80 countries with more than 5,000 points of sale, including around 400 Diesel boutiques.
